The fall and winter months are here and for many that means it is time to get the 4 wheelers, side by sides and snowmobiles ready for the fun! Nothing beats being outdoors in Western New York in the Fall!

But before you get too excited to be back in the woods or on that quad, keep in mind that there are some who do what they can to take that machine away from you. There are some bold thieves lurking and waiting for an easy opportunity and it looks like they have struck again in the Southtowns.

I saw this post on the Neighborhood/Ring app off a 4 wheeler that was taken from someone's property this week. Like anything that is taken, you feel violated and it is a bitter reminder that people are willing to take what is not theirs.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought shortages on just about everything and that includes ATV and other recreational machines. People have been snagging them and either selling them or just taking them for themselves. It is a good reminder to lock the shed or garage where you store them or keep them chained up in a well lit area. The other issue that some have is they own property in rural areas that they can't keep an eye on most of the time. I suggest you get a cell powered trail/game camera. They are pretty inexpensive and the fee is not too bad and you can instantly and clearly see who or what is on your land when you are not able to be there.
