Mayor Byron Brown is hosting a public workshop for children to give their input into the re-design of LaSalle Park! The hands-on workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Waterfront Elementary School (BPS #95). The City is looking for children to weigh in on turning LaSalle Park into Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park, according to a press release from the City of Buffalo. There will be a children's play garden installed in the park and the design team from Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates wants to know what kids want to see in the space.

"While we want Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park to be a regional asset that embodies world-class design, the bottom-line is to create a City park for the enjoyment of all Buffalo residents. I'm pleased our youngsters will have a voice in the design because parks and playgrounds are so critical to their physical and social well-being,"

Mayor Brown said in the press release from the City.
