Chef’s Will Temporarily Close Both Locations Because of COVID-19 Concerns
It's been a difficult past few weeks for the local restaurant business because of the COVID-19 pandemic and unfortunately, a local staple has decided to temporarily close.
According to a press release, Chef's and Chef's On The Go! has made the difficult decision to temporarily close effective Saturday, April 4th at 8 pm. The restaurant will re-evaluate when to re-open for business on May 1st.
This from Chef's:
"With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to control our world as we know it, we at Chef’s Restaurant and Chef’s On The Go have had to make some very hard decisions.
The Billittier Family have always been about Family first and business second. We have watched our loyal employees come to work every day. We have watched them step up to keep Chef’s running all with disregard for their own well being of staying safe at home. We can no longer watch our employees take a chance on their own health. There is more to life than money. And as much as we have had an unbelievable outpouring of support from our beautiful customers, we cannot put our operations in front of the safety of our staff."
It's understandable to not take any chances with what is going on in the community right now and we hope Chef's and Chef's On The Go! will be back open, sooner rather than later.
Chef's is located on Seneca Street in Buffalo. Chef's On The Go! is located on Sheridan Drive in Amherst.
