The vast majority of Buffalo Bills fans cannot wait for the brand new stadium that will be coming to Orchard Park in a few years.

A new Bills stadium will be built directly across from Highmark Stadium, which was recently approved by state and county politicians.

The new stadium will be open-air and seat roughly 62,000 people with other amenities. It's expected to be ready for play by the 2026 season. While we don't have any rendering of the new stadium just yet, we do have the contractors who will be responsible for building the new stadium.

Buffalo Business First reports that three of the area's largest general contractors will be named "co-contractors" for the new Bills stadium.

Gilbane Building Co., Arc Building Partners and Turner Construction Co. will be the three contractors for the $1.4 billion stadium in Orchard Park. An official announcement is expected in the coming days/weeks.

When is construction expected to begin?

That should be sometime in late 2023. The current location for Highmark Stadium will be a parking lot area for the new stadium, whenever it is ready, and one would assume the Adpro Sports Training Center would remain untouched and continue to serve as the Bills practice, meeting and training facility.

Buffalo Business First says that as many as 10,000 construction workers will be required for stadium construction.

2022 looks to be the final season for the normal look as we know it. There should be some construction going on by the end of 2023 and 2024/2025 will be full-on work to complete the stadium in time.
