It’s been a week since the events of last Saturday, at the Tops on Jefferson Avenue on the City of Buffalo’s east side.

10 people lost their lives and three more were injured, after a gunman opened fire. It was a racially motivated attack as investigators and police soon discovered, as 11 of the 13 victims were African American.

Buffalo and Western New York is still mourning the loss, as many have donated money, food and volunteered time to help the east side community, as the Jefferson Ave. Tops remains closed.

President Joe Biden and the First Lady were in Buffalo on Tuesday, while the entire Buffalo Bills team and staff were there on Wednesday, volunteering their time to serve food. Sabres, Bills and Bandits players and alumni have made their way to the scene to donate as well.

The Bills were wearing matching black t-shirts that said, “choose love.” People wanted to know if they could buy them and help out the cause. The Bills and PSE said “hold tight,” and now, those shirts are available.

The Bills have posted the link to buy the “choose love” shirts through Shop One Buffalo.

Fans can also purchase Sabres or Bandits “choose love” t-shirts. All three are $25.

100 percent of the proceeds will go to the 5/14 Survivors Fund & Buffalo Together Community Response Fund.
