Over the weekend, a nationwide initiative aimed at addressing the issue of obesity kicked off in Buffalo.

Charges of prostitution have been dropped against reality TV star Alicia Guastaferro.  Gusastaferro was arrested along with an attorney from the Rochester-area, after the pair were found at a Thruway rest area (doing who knows what) on August 27.

Everyone in the Northeast is bracing for Hurricane Sandy. Parts of New York City and New Jersey have already been evacuated in preparation for the storm. Locally, we aren't supposed to see much until Wednesday (October 31), which would put somewhat of a damper on any trick-or-treating plans.

That's right folks!! The World's Largest Yard Sale is Saturday, May 12th at the Fairgrounds in Hamburg.  Gates open at 8:30am and the sale runs through 4:00pm.  Last year, over 7,000 shoppers attended the event and left with some great finds.
