I was born and raised in Mechanicville, NY, and have been in radio for over 25 years. I have lived and worked on Long Island in the Hamptons, in West Palm Beach, FL, Buffalo, NY, and Portland, ME. Brian and I have been together for 16 years and we love waking up the Capital Region each and every morning. I just moved back to my hometown where my 11-year-old son Ryan is attending my Alma mater. I married my best friend, Jenn, in August of 2022 and had the most perfect day. The theme of our wedding was based on the Disney movie, "Up". We even have a dog named Freddie after Mr. Fredrickson from the movie. We now have two dogs. The newest member of our family is Willie. He looks like a real-live white teddy bear. I am a true crime junky and will watch every Law & Order SVU episode over and over again. (My Dad worked on the show for several years and my name appears on the locker in the squad room in early episodes). I have a very close relationship with my amazing mom, Nancy who is on the show with us messing up song lyrics each week. I will fight anyone, anytime, if you say that someone else or a restaurant makes better eggplant than my mom. Thanks for allowing our personal lives into your world each morning. We hope to give you laughter and fun to start your day.

Finding Dead Frogs in Our Pool-Here’s Some Tricks To Save Them
I am a new pool owner and I never realized how many things other pool owners never tell you. I mean they have all chimed in on chlorine, fences, and what pool floats they love but not about frogs that find their way into your pool. So far we have only had our pool open for a week and there have been four frogs found. Half of them had drowned.
Free NY ‘Outdoors Days’ Helps Connect With Nature
Get ready to connect with nature with the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) throughout the Adirondacks and beyond. You will learn fun ways to enjoy the beauty of our area with "Outdoors Day". Corn-diggity Dog! Local NY Festivals & County Fairs a Go
Good news fairgoers! It looks like we will be able to experience all of the county fairs and local festivals this summer. Although last year fairs got creative with drive-up fair food festivals, it's nice to know that we can actually go into the fairs and enjoy what they have to offer, from the deep-fried foods to the rides, and games on the midway.
Saratoga Mansion For $3 Mil With Eclectic Walls & Ceilings
This mansion for sale in Saratoga Springs is beautiful on the outside but it depends on the buyer's taste because of what's on the walls and ceilings inside. It sits on eight acres and has a gorgeous yard complete with a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen and pool. I just think if someone were to pay a cool three million dollars they would have to also repaint not just the walls but the ceiling too. Check it out.
NY State Museum Unlocks Its Doors & Opens Again
The New York State Museum along with the Library and Archives have finally reopened after being closed for more than one year. That doesn't mean that the staff hasn't been working hard. They have been preparing for the reopening all along. It was nice to see lines, and crowds outside of the museum doors on Monday excited to visit the exhibits inside.
All Ted’s Fish Fry Locations Hiring & Closing on Sundays
There is a dire need for workers across the state and right here in the Capital Region so it is forcing one local fast food restaurant to close all seven of its restaurants every Sunday. But they are still vigorously trying to hire all positions at all locations.
Check Your Smoke Detectors – Nationwide Recall
We are told to check our smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms twice a year when we change our clocks back. But there's a good reason to check those detectors right now. There is a nationwide recall of the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors because they may not alert residents of a fire.
Love NY Hikes? Volunteer For Adopt-A-Trail Program
Hiking the Adirondacks and the many trails throughout the Capital Region and beyond is and has been very popular in 2020 because of the pandemic. The New York State Department of Conservation is looking for hikers who want to Adopt-A-Trailhead to volunteer to keep them clean and safe. So if you are passionate about hiking and helping, here's your chance.
Saratoga Lake Front Mansion For $1.5 Million
We spent many summers on Saratoga Lake at my grandparents' camp. It was a modest beautiful escape right on Saratoga Lake. It was nothing like this lake-front mansion that overlooks the lake with a gorgeous wrap-around deck. It's for sale for a mere $1.5 million. Check it out
Bills Fans Must Be Vaccinated to Sit in The Stands
We are all hoping to be able to attend sporting events in the fall and no fan base is more anxious to get back in the stands than Bills Mafia. There is one stipulation, however when the season kicks off.
Indulge in Your Favorite NY State Fair Foods Today and Tomorrow
There hasn't been a lot of guidance on whether or not the state and county fairs will be happening this year but I know my fingers are crossed. Last year, most if not all, fairs were canceled or drive-thru only. If you've been jonesing for that delicious, greasy, and deep-fried New York State Fair Food, you can indulge this weekend.
