With more than 52 percent of the fan vote, August Alsina squeezed passed Tamar Braxton and her track, "Catfish," in last week's Boombox Battle and has taken him into the next round.

The New Orleans crooner's new song, "Why I Do It," is his response to anyone who questions his career and lifestyle. With Lil Wayne showing his support with a couple of verses, the bouncy R&B track highlights Alsina’s confidence and talent. And considering the rough year he’s had, it’s great to have this gem off his forthcoming sophomore album, This Thing Called Life.

“I ain’t gotta tell you why I do it / Get cash, get cars, go hard / I ain’t gotta tell you why I do it / N—- I don’t ask why you do your job / I ain’t gotta tell you why I do it / I grind sundown to sunrise / Don’t tell me to prove it, cause I might lose it,” he delivers.

Chris Brown, who's this week's new opponent, takes us back to the '80s with his new dancey track, "Zero." This club-worthy song will quickly raise your spirits and inspire to get up and move. On the track, Breezy sings about a breakup but he doesn't succumb to wallowing about a relationship that didn't work. Instead, he chooses not to think about her and just move on.

"Ask how many nights I've been thinking of you, zero, zero / Gave a hundred percent but all I got from you, zero, zero / I thought you were the one, then you turned around / Found somebody better, like I never met ya / Ask how many nights I've been thinking of you, zero, zero / (Zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero) / That’s how many f---s I give, oh," he sings on the chorus.

Who will win this week? Alsina's confident track or Chris Brown's upbeat post-breakup tune? Only you can decide. Vote for your favorite song in the poll below. Remember, you can vote once per hour until the poll closes on Tues., Sept. 29 at 10AM ET.
