Alicia Keys sings that she's "too busy finding myself" on 'Brand New Me,' a new piano ballad all about personal growth that appears on her upcoming 'Girl on Fire' album.

"'Brand New Me' is about the journey it takes to get to a place where you are proud to be a new you," Keys tells The BoomBox. "There is nothing wrong with growing. There may be people in your life that knew you for a long time and they think of you only as the person you used to be and not the person you now are! And this song is a conversation introducing them to the new you. Where nothing can hold you back and no one can hold you down!"

The track was reportedly written by Keys with acclaimed Scottish singer Emeli Sande and features breathy vocals from Keys, who sings, "Don't be mad, it's just a brand new kinda me / Can't be bad, I've found a brand new kind of free." She ends the song with, "Don't be mad, it's a brand new time for me."

'Girl on Fire,' featuring the scorching title track with Nicki Minaj as well as collaborations with fellow R&B stars John Legend and Maxwell, arrives at retailers on Nov. 26. Hear the new track below.
