This was discussed on the TJMS this morning: A study was released saying young professionals and college students (30 and under) want access and not money. What access ? Access to Social Media (facebook, twitter etc..) and the Internet instead of money. Really? I don't know who they surveyed or if this was a sponsored survey for a corporation? There is no way possible that people are that stupid to pass up money for access to twitter all day. The study was done by "The Cisco Connection"

Most college students said that if they encountered a company that banned access to social media, they would either not accept a job offer or would join and find a way to circumvent corporate policy.

The part about circumventing (finding away around the rule), I believe. To think someone would honestly turn down money to be on the net is unbelievable. It goes back to the old saying "where there is a will there is a way", workers/people will always find a way to break the rules. The interpretation of this survey has to be wrong, or maybe this survey was sponsored by EMPLOYERS who want to find a way to pay people less by make social networking an incentive since that's "What Everybody Wants." I hope we haven't become that BASIC !!! Lets put this out there, Is Social Networking that important that you would take a pay cut in order to have access to it ?
