Young Thug just dropped a new song called "Texas Love" dedicated to those struggling with intense floods down South. Watch it above.

It's one in a string of songs where Thug seems to tackle a bigger social issue, in the title like "F Cancer" or "King TROUP," only to shy away from doing so heavily within his verses.

Nonetheless, it's ironic that a song Thug threw out there out of nowhere is one of the best singles he's released since "Best Friend" in 2015. There's no doubt he sounds a bit more like Wayne on here than he ever has before, but it also shows that Thug might be heeding Lyor's advice to stop treating songs like orphans and start circling back to his initial creations so he can flesh them out in full.
