You won't believe the reason why this Buffalo Mailman says he stole money from mail!

I've heard some silly excuses before, but this one is downright dumb! Check out the reason a Buffalo mailman says he opened letters and stole money!

Richard D’Arcy Jr., who was a letter carrier in South Buffalo, has been charged with theft of mail and is accused of opening mail and staling the money inside some of the letters, according to The Buffalo News. The reason he gave for thieving from his undelivered mail you ask? Well he told Federal prosecutors that he was running late and wasn't going to finish his route on time. So rather than deliver the mail the next day, I guess he figured grandma's birthday money in lil Jimmy's card should fill his pockets instead! D'Arcy delivered in West Seneca and is also accused of dumping some of the letters back into a blue postal collection box on McKinley Avenue, near where he lives! Wow!
