Despite being shot in the hip, it appears that YG is on the mend. The Compton rhymer is back in the studio and appears to be in good health. In an interview with Billboard, YG talks about the harrowing June 12 incident, in which he was shot in the hip as he was leaving a recording studio in Studio City, Calif.

“I got shot one time,” he explains. “It was three bullet holes because it went in, went out and went back in again.”

“I don’t know who shot me and it wasn’t gang related and it don’t matter,” he added. “I’m still here.”

Despite his healing wounds, the “Bicken Back Being Bool” rapper is still on his grind. “I’m hard to kill,” he brags. "I got s--- to do - this s--- don’t stop for nobody. I came straight to the studio on my little crutches.”

YG is currently working on his second album titled Still Krazy, which is the follow-up to his Grammy-nominated debut, My Krazy Life.

“I’m rapping about my life, my lifestyle. It’s different concepts [and] new production,” he says about the project. “When the people listen to it, I just want them to have fun and relate."

“And just know that I’m a regular motherf---er just like you and I’ve been through real s--- and f--- with real s---," he continues. “And I made it out of a sticky situation, I turned a negative into a positive."

There’s no release date set for YG’s new project but you can bet that it will come sooner than later.
