The city of Chicago is struggling with ongoing problem of guns and violence, particularly with the youth. Wyclef Jean flew down to Chicago to sing an urgent plea of peace to keep the guns away in his new video, 'Bang Bang Bang.'

In the clip, directed by Dan Reagans, 'Clef walks the mean streets of Chi-town to catch the vibes of the turmoil that has engulfed the 'hood. The only thing protecting him his gold-plated guitar designed into an AK-47 rifle.

"Shoot first, think last, that's the motto on the streets now," Wyclef sings.

Throughout the video, we see the harrowing images of the youth and covered dead bodies being hauled into ambulances.

The former Fugees member even puts himself in the crosshairs as he sings about his portrayal of a street thug in the 2002 film 'Shottas,' which many of the young teens recognizes him from.

"Have you seen the movie 'Shottas'? / I play Richie, yes / But on the streets, I know the real Richie yes," he sings. "I got some of my homies, they won't see the next 30 summers / They got them in the cage somewhere down under."

The acoustic guitar-laden song is among the tracks featured on Wyclef great mixtape, 'April Showers.'

We need more songs like this in hip-hop.

Stop the violence and increase the peace.
