A WNY man fired shots from an AK-47 into his home at his wife Monday!

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office was on the scene on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Wheatfield after a man was accused of firing his weapon into his house, where his wife was, according to WGRZ. The woman was able to escape from the house to a nearby store, where she was able to call 911. The incident happened after a domestic dispute with her husband. He allegedly fired several shots into their home with an AK-47 rifle! A "shelter in place" alert was issued for people in homes about a quarter mile on either side of the house. The man was taken into custody without any incident and the sheriff says he was drunk! He is facing multiple charges, possibly including reckless endangerment.
