Will Buffalo be getting mail delivered today.

With the first of the month coming and refund checks arriving, some folks are not sure when their mail will be delivered but some  Buffalo area stations and branches (in zip codes 142) as well as some post offices south of Buffalo will be closed Thursday.

A spokesperson for the United States Postal Service (USPS) says postal workers are attempting delivery where possible.

"With the closing of major thoroughfares to truck traffic, mail availability is also a factor. Employees will attempt to deliver what mail is on hand in places where they can safely navigate roads," USPS said.
