Whitney Houston has arrived home.

The late singer’s body landed in her native state of New Jersey on Monday night, Feb. 13, and was transported from Los Angeles to New Jersey via a private plane owned by actor/director/producer Tyler Perry. The body landed at Teterboro airport, about 20 minutes outside of Manhattan, with tight security in place.

Houston’s body was then transported via a gold hearse to the Whigham funeral home in Newark at around 12 midnight. Reuters reports that around 50 fans gathered outside for the tragic homecoming of sorts in order to pay their respects and to welcome the ‘I Will Always Love You’ singer home.

Her funeral is set to be held in her native state this week. A spokesperson for the family said memorial plans are in the works, but no details have been confirmed. Early media reports indicated a public viewing and funeral were being planned.
