TOPIC:

What Qualities In A Woman Would Make Her A Better Mother?

OVERVIEW:

We have had many discussions on this radio station, community forums, and conversations at church, in our homes and on the streets about the out of control generation that currently affects all of us in some way or another, our community, and society. This by no means is to say that all of the young men and women in our community and around this country are behaving in ways that would have been unheard of when we were growing up back in the day!

You know my mother made her transition to the ancestors when I was 8 years old. So I never really had the opportunity or privilege to get to know her in the same way that my sibling brothers and sisters did who were much older than I with children of their own the same age as me…But what I do remember about my mother is that she was one of the most loving, giving, and passionate women that you would ever want to meet. Sometimes I see mothers today (right here in downtown Buffalo) that treat their children like wild animals and talk and curse at them in ways that were unimaginable when I was growing up back in the day.

Indeed there are a lot of us that are constantly under pressure given the current state of our country, society, and community. But when are we going to reach back and try to really understand what is and has happened to us and our community. When we use the term Mother Nature does that only encompass the outside environment? Or does Mother Nature have a deeper meaning; like to NURTURE…The feminine principle…The principles that are so important when it really comes to who she is—she is the creator that natures life, if she is not doing that, she is out of balance with nature!
