WHAT IS THE FISCAL CLIFF?

You've heard talk lately about a "FISCAL CLIFF"...but what is it?  When I do infrequently catch the news I hear News Anchors say how this WILL affect all of us and taxes WILL increase DRASTICALLY!!!
