Venus Ebony Star Williams has played over 250 grand slam tennis matches in her career and not once has she had to retire due to injury; well, not until yesterday (Friday, January 21, 2011). During a press conference Venus talked about her inability to continue during the 3 round of her match against Germany’s Andrea Petkovic at the Australian Open tennis championships in Melbourne, Australia. She is currently ranked 6th in the world and will go down as one of the greatest women tennis players of all time when she decides to give up the game for good.
