Tyga resurrects Tupac Shakur on his new single 'Hit Em Up,' which also features Jadakiss. Produced by in-demand beatmaker DJ Mustard, the piano-driven tune is an original and not a remix of 'Pac's heated diss song of the same name.

Although Tyga borrowed the song title from the late rapper's 1996 track, it actually samples the hook from C-Murder's 'Down 4 My N----z.' On the song, the 'Dope' rapper spits rhymes alongside 2Pac as if they were in the studio together.

Originally, Nicki Minaj was supposed to appear on the track but it never happened, so he got Jadakiss on the song.

"I sent it to Jadakiss and after that I was done with the song and then I had came across some 'Pac vocals from a friend," Tyga explained to MTV News about the recording process. "I was like, 'Man this would be dope,' but I didn't really know how to use it properly."

"When people hear it they're gonna think it's real clever and they're gonna really respect it," he adds.

Well, the song leaked a week early before Tyga's album, 'Hotel California,' hits stores on April 9. The collection features collaborations with Rick Ross, Chris Brown, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Future.

Check out this bicoastal jam from T-Raww, 'Kiss and the late 2Pac.
