Congrats are in order for up-and-coming rapper Travi$ Scott. The Houston rhymer has joined T.I.'s record label Grand Hustle. Tip made the announcement during an interview with DJ Skee (via XXL).

Tip will share Scott under his production deal with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music imprint.

The Atlanta mogul said he discovered Scott on the Internet.

"I found him online -- I actually found him and [Iggy Azalea] at the same time," T.I. tells DJ Skee. "I was just getting out of prison and I was rebuilding, and I kinda like just cast a wide net."

"I need the best that right now has to offer," he adds. "After casting that net, I got Trae tha Truth, I had the pleasure of joining forces with him, Chip, Iggy Azalea and also Travi$ Scott."

For Scott, who is among XXL's 2013 Freshman class, it's a great opportunity to showcase his talent with two hip-hop heavyweights backing him up.

"It’s ill, it’s like the best of both worlds," says the newcomer. "You get to talk to these guys and they’re both well experienced. Tip is there with me like, ‘Whatever, bro.’ I’ll be like, 'Man, I need this,’ and he’ll be like, 'Man, I got you.'"

From dropping out of college to sleeping on couches in New York and Los Angeles, it looks like Scott is on his way to success.

In the meantime, check out Travi$ Scott's new mixtape ‘Owl Pharaoh,' which includes the singles ‘Animal’ (featuring T.I.) and ‘Quintana' (featuring Wale).
