What would you do if you knew that the world was going to end? Would you hold tight to family and friends? Spend every dime you had? Quit your job? Or...would you leave those you love and caravan the country with a doomsday warning? Strange, I know...However for the "Project Caravan" team that sounds like a great idea...

Since fall of last year a group of ten religious strangers have been caravanning the country in a group of large vans sticker-ed with phrases announcing the 'awesome news' that Judgment Day is coming May 21st, 2012.  Numbered 11-15 the vans consistently drive in numerical order, working to stay in line and spread their message. Not only that, the team has began making their own clothing to display their message, and even influenced two other groups to begin the cross country journey for the 'rapture.'

Comparing themselves to Jonah, the group believes they are sent by God to warn the world that the end of the world is upon us. They have left their families, quit their jobs, and many sold their homes to fulfill this mission. They are heavily influenced by a christian radio program known as 'Family Radio' and  according to their beliefs, the 12th is rapture day and those that are 'saved' will be sent to heaven. As for the rest of the world; they will live in anguish for 5 months when the world ceases to exist on October 21st 2012.

What do you think? How would you spend your last days? And what are your thoughts surrounding the 'world's end'? Are these people nuts, or are they fulfilling their christian deed by warning us?
