Tariji P Henson, the actress best known for her role as convicted felon "Cookie", once played the role of Detective Carter on another drama series, before they killed her off. Now with the popularity of Fox's hit TV show Empire, CBS is bringing her back for a very special episode of "Person of Interest".

The death of Taraji P. Henson's character Carter in Season 3 of "Person of Interest" was one of the most shocking moves on primetime television in the 2013-14 season. At the time, Henson explained her exit from the show by saying she wanted to focus on her film career. Personally, I feel like her role on CBS was stale and minimal. Check out the final scene of her character Detective Carter.

Shortly after Taraji shot this scene, she got to work on her exciting new role as Cookie on Empire and the rest is history!

But now the network that was so quick to let her go, is excited to announce that a very special episode of "Person of Interest" airing on April 14th, will feaure Taraji P Henson in flashback scenes as Detective Reese (Jim Caviezel) attempts to close a cold homicide case that Carter was never able to solve.

CBS totally under utilized and under valued Henson's talents when they had her. But now that she is one of the Hottest names in Hollywood and Hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time tonight (4/11) they want a piece of the "Cookie". SMDH
