In 1978 a young lady by the name of Yvette Marie Stevens (a.k.a. Chaka Khan) released the song “I’m Every Woman” that went all the way to number #1 on Billboards R&B Chart and stayed there for 3 straight weeks.
Following Whitney Houston‘s untimely death on Feb. 11, her album ‘Whitney: The Greatest Hits’ has re-entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 6. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the LP sold 64,000 copies in the U.S. for the week ending on Feb. 12, which only accounts for one day of sales.
Aretha Franklin will be performing at Whitney Houston‘s invite-only funeral service on Feb. 18, Entertainment Tonight is reporting. Record label executive Clive Davis, who helped guide the careers of both singers as the president of Arista Records for a quarter-century, personally requested to have Franklin perform, and the Queen of Soul found it impossible to turn down the invitation.

With the recent passing of Whitney Houston there have been and will be a number of people asking the question of how could someone allow themself to get to such an extreme point of addiction and totally flip ones career upside down?
When you look at what happen to Michael Jackson and now Whitney Houston, I think that the first thing that each of us should think about is that they were human beings first, just like we are that were highly gifted and talented individuals that have weaknesses as do all human beings.

Bobby Brown is currently in Los Angeles to be by the side of his emotionally-wrought daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, who has been hospitalized since the untimely death of her mother, Whitney Houston.
According to People, Brown arrived at LAX airport Sunday night (Feb. 12) at 9PM with a posse of handlers. “Bobby had a blank stare and looked exhausted,” noticed one onlooker. “His friends seemed concerned about him and they surrounded him as they walked through the airport.”

Medical examiners have finished performing the autopsy on Whitney Houston but couldn’t determined the cause of death. According to TMZ, results are inconclusive until a toxicologic report is completed, which usually takes four to six weeks.
