In a weekend that saw many East Coast theaters closed because of Hurricane Irene, ‘The Help’ remained atop the box office for the second week in a row. The film, based on the best-selling book of the same name, has now earned a total of $96.6 million.

Well, by the look of this weekend's list of movies debuting at local theatres the "Summer Blockbuster " period is over.  Check out the list and movie trailers of each film, and you decide for yourself.  Although the films may be entertaining I'm not sure if any of these movies will receive a year end  movie award of any kind.
