As Irene came crashing in on the North Carolina-Virginia coast, millions of people are currently without power, while Philadelphia and New York City remain under Hurricane warning. About 2 million Virginia homes were without power Saturday night. The subway shutdown and came to a grinding halt in New York, as the streets of the city emptied.
