The Ruff Ryders are currently mourning the loss of an important member of their family. Jay “Icepick” Jackson, a producer and A&R executive, has died from cancer.

Fellow Double-R alumnus Swizz Beatz and Eve announced the sad news on their respective Instagram pages. Fellow hip-hoppers Just Blaze, Pharrell, DJ Clue, Funkmaster Flex and others also expressed their condolences on social media as well.

According to Billboard, Jay Jackson executive produced many of the Ruff Ryders albums on label including Jadakiss' Kiss the Game Goodbye, Styles P's A Gangster and a Gentleman, Drag-On's Hell and Back, DMX's Grand Champ and both of Eve's Scorpion and Eve-Olution projects. He recently A&R-ed The LOX's 2016 effort, Filthy America...It's Beautiful album.

"Icepic Jay. Sending out the most love and prayers to his family and friends and to anyone who knew him in any way," wrote Eve on her IG account. "Just an actual good person. I hadn't had the chance to see him in so many years but I will never forget his support, genuineness and passion, support, guidance ever!!! It's crazy... I wanna add so much more to this, no words can express enough. She also added the hashtags #thankuforyourenergy, #howmanylatenightsinthestudio, #mayherestinpiece and #rip."
