The following are a few events you may want to check out with your family over the next few weeks that are presented by the African American Cultural Center.

This Saturday, do not miss the “Drums to Drums Along Buffalo Creek” with the African American Cultural Center Dance & Drum Performance Company and the Neto Hatinakwe Onkwehowe Dancers at 4 p.m. @ Canalside and it is free. It is a West African/Native American rhythm & movement that will enlighten you culturally.

On Saturday, August 25th at noon check out Unity Day / Jumpin’ Jambalaya Summer Program Closing @ the African American Cultural Center 350 Maten Avenue.

The African American Cultural Center (AACC) is mounting its first membership drive in more than 25 years.

“Malcolm Erni founded the African American Cultural Center to serve the children and families of Buffalo through celebration and knowledge of their unique cultural heritage. We have upheld this mission for 54 years and are calling on the community that we continue to serve to support planning for the next urban generation,” AACC Executive Director Agnes M. Bain said.
