Snoop Dogg changed his name to Snoop Lion and it never really caught on. Come on, how many times did you go, "Snoop Do - wait, I mean Snoop Lion?" It didn't matter that much, since most people refer to the rapper as "Snoop" anyway.

Well, he's gone and changed monikers again. He now wants to be known as "Snoopzilla."

Like previous name changes, the former D, O Double G is rebranding himself as Snoopzilla in conjunction with a musical project. Snoop Lion was a product of his reggae album and now, he's teamed up with Dam-Funk for the '7 Days of Funk' album, out Dec. 10.

"We're the babies of the Mothership," Snoopzilla said in a statement. "I've had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dam-Funk is cold. He's keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him."

The rapper can get away with all these name changes since he is so well known. It doesn’t damage his brand since he is pretty instantly recognizable. Plus, he has pots of money and he appears in mainstream TV commercials. He's just...Snoop.

PopCrushers, do you think you can get down with calling him "Snoopzilla?"
