Snoop Dogg’s “Blast” Endorsement Gets More Political Criticism
According to sources, the new Colt 45 “Blast” drink has caught the attention of many critics including Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan who is also concerned that the beverage’s campaign featuring Snoop Dogg targets kids. Madigan points to the colorful packaging, fruit flavors, and an ad campaign featuring Snoop Dogg as evidence that the drink is being marketed towards children. During an interview Madigan stated, “A product like this only serves to glamorize alcohol abuse and promote binge drinking, threatening the safety of those consuming it.” Attorneys general from Arizona, California, Maine and Massachusetts have echoed these concerns.
