Chinese sneaker manufacturer knew they could not compete with the likes of Nike in the United States so it went another route, Li-Ning posted a video on Youtube (where most of their target market spends a lot of time). The video focused on the history of the shoe manufacturere and took a few digs at their competition.

Products from China are beginning to over take Japan as a leading importer of goods into the United States. You may remember Li Ning as the last to carry the torch during the opening cermony of the 2008 Bejing Olympics.

Li Ning aknowledges the recent scandals of shoddy Chinese products finding their way into the US market but combats this by producing a high quality shoe that the company stands behind. Much of Li-Ning's staff in the USA are former veterans of Nike, Adidas, and Converse.
