Sky’s energy can be felt as soon as she walks into the room. The personality you see on television is really what you get. As we sat in Times Square, we laughed and had a great conversation about her growth and progression. Last year we saw her emotional story unfold on Black ink as she struggled reconcile with her children after 15 years.  However, this season is a celebration for the Vh1 reality star. She has rekindled her relationship with her sons, opening her very own women’s clothing boutique, and taking her career to new heights. Check out the interview below!

With a new Black Ink shop in New Orleans,  I asked Sky what we could expect from this season. She said “You're going to see some drama, it’s still gonna be there, but everyone is growing in front of your eyes” it’s going to be a lot of love but it’s going to be some tears and old rivalries “.

Make sure you check out the two hour premiere Wednesday September 19th at 9pm on Vh1.
