Sheen, Other Celebs In The Dog House

Charlie Sheen has had his fair share of scandals, from drinking, violence, prostitution, porn stars and drugs. But for the most part people forgive him for everything he does! He has a hit TV show and is raking in over 2 million dollars per episode. And though his lifelong battle of rehab, alleged physical abuse and multiple divorces the American public still loves Charlie Sheen. Why does he get a free pass? A lot of other celebs haven’t got the same treatment! Let’s first take a look at the top 5 celebs that have been scandalous and are still in the dog house.

5) Isaiah Washington

A promising actor with nothing but success in his future when he landed the role of Dr. Burke on one of ABC’s top rated shows, Grey’s Anatomy. But that all came to a quick end when the media learned of some off-camera feuds between him Patrick Dempsey and T.R. Knight. Washington denied the rumors that he called costar T.R. Knight a fag—t. Shortly after that at the Golden globes he denied the rumors and used the anti-gay slur in front of every top media outlet in the country. BIG MISTAKE! If you’re going to tell everyone that you didn’t use the homophobic word- my advice, don’t SAY the actual word! After that he did everything he could think of to try to get back on the good side of America- went on a spiritual retreat to Africa, event went to rehab!! But the American public was not forgiving. After being canned from Grey's Anatomy Washington released this statement about the execs decision to not renew his contract:

“My mistake was believing that I would get the support from my network and all of my cast mates across the board. My mistake was believing I could correct a wrong with honesty and sincerity. My mistake was thinking black people get second chances”.

4) LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian

Theirs is a wonderful love story, two actors that met and fell in love on the set of the lifetime movie Northern Lights. There was instant passion and chemistry between them. Only problem, they were both married to other people! Yes LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian started their world win affair after they met on the movie set. She was portrayed as a home wrecker and Eddie, a cheater.   Most recently there was major uproar about Rimes on the cover of Shape magazine. Reportedly readers had a fit when they saw her on the cover with the headline “LeAnn Rimes: How Working Out Saved Me”.  There were so many complaints, the editor of Shape Magazine released this statement:

"Please know that our putting her on the cover was not meant to put a husband-stealer on a pedestal-but to show (through her story) how we all are human."

Husband- stealer, OUCH!

3) Tiger Woods

The squeaky clean all American boring golfer. When you thought of Tiger Woods, you thought of excellence, a family man, and a great athlete. He was the safe guy. Never in a million years would you think he was a cheater who carried on over 8 different affairs with women all across the country. And not just a wham bam thank you ma’am affair- a romantic, in love romance where he made these women think he was truly in love with them. His wife left him after the affairs surfaced, and he has been dropped from many lucrative endorsement deals.

2) Jesse James

This was a scandal no one saw coming. Especially not his, then, all-American sweetheart wife Sandra Bullock. Just days after praising him at the Oscars news broke that bad boy Jesse James had an affair with tattoo pin up star Michelle "Bombshell" McGee. Not only was the affair scandalous but so were leaked pictures of the mistress and Jesse James dressed as Nazi’s, posing as a white supremacist. Just a few months after news of the affair broke, Jesse moved on uncomfortably fast with pin up doll Kat Von D. The verdict is still up in the air whether or not the two are still together.  What a slap in the face to Sandra!

And the king of bad behavior that pop culture Americans just can’t let go, Mel Gibson. Take your pick as to what wild and outrageous things he’s been doing the past few months. From his anti Semitic rants to his “sugar t-ts” comments to his leaked audio tapes of insane violent rants against his ex and baby momma Oksana moon. After all of this, he was recently taken out of production for the movie The Hangover 2 which he was suppose to guest star in.

These celebs have had a rocky time trying to get back in the good graces of the American people. But it’s not impossible to win us over. Time will tell if these stars can come back and be forgiven.
