Adidas has decided NOT to go forward with it’s new “Shackle” sneaker, designed by this man, Jeremy Scott.

The shoe features Prison Orange ankle bracelets with a price tag  of $350. The Addidas Facebook Caption for the “Shackle Shoe” reads:

Tighten up your style with the JS Roundhouse Mids, dropping in August. Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles?

When rage started to flare up in the comments – calling the shoes racist for turning pain into profit -- Adidas issued a statement saying:

The design of the JS Roundhouse Mid is nothing more than the designer Jeremy Scott’s outrageous and unique take on fashion and has nothing to do with slavery.

Then I remember the Adidas founder Adolf Dassler AKA Adi Das was a Nazi.

On Twitter hashtag  “Adidas slave shackle kicks” is trending –

Hours after defending the shackle shoe design Monday afternoon , Adidas has decided to renig the “artistist expression” excuse and pull the plug on mass production and distribution of the shackle shoe.

Other "Addidas Originals" by Jeremy Scott will be available in stores this Fall. Take a look
