San Francisco Mayoral Candidate Ed Lee Teams Up With MC Hammer For Bizarre Campaign Ad [VIDEO]

Ed Lee was appointed San Francisco’s interim mayor in January when elected mayor Gavin Newsom took over as California’s lieutenant governor. Now Lee wants the job full-time, and is running for the office in November’s election. In other words, as MC Hammer once said, Lee is ’2 Legit 2 Quit.’
And, you guessed it, MC Hammer’s 1991 ode to stick-to-itiveness is also the 59-year old’s campaign theme song, which he has just released as a fairly insane music video featuring Hammer and various other luminaries.
While we’re not quite sure if Lee’s effort tops the Mark Block/Herman Cain surprise cigarette political ad that’s also been setting the net ablaze in terms of overall strangeness, it’s still worth a baffled look. Check out one weird campaign ad below.
