Rochester man charged with photographing dead woman, stealing her dog

A man from Rochester has been charged in this strange case!

Jose R. Pena has been charged in the incident, which happened in Gates, just outside Rochester, according to WGRZ. He is accused of breaking into a motel room, where the woman had died of a suspected overdose, and taking pictures of her. Police also say he stole her dog without calling authorities to let them know she was dead. Pena was charged with felony second-degree burglary, as well as felony tampering with physical evidence and petit larceny, according to a police news release. Police say he went to visit the woman and thats how he discovered her body. He stole her phone to make sure no one could connect him to her which obviously didnt work). He didnt tell police or the hotel that she had died. Housekeeping found the woman after several days.
