Remy Ma is having a phenomenal year so far. After serving time in prison, the Bronx rapper was able to bounce back and deliver new music (Plata O Plomo her collaborative album with Fat Joe) and dispatched Nicki Minaj with her impressive diss song, “shETHER.” On Sunday (March 26), Remy was honored with the Woman of the Year at the 2nd annual Glitz and Girl Power Awards in Miami.

The event was held to salute women in the field of entertainment. Honorees included legendary soul singer Betty Wright who was presented with the "Lifetime Achievement" award and Steph Lecor with the “Woman on the Rise” honor, among many others.

Remy Ma delivered an empowering speech as she talked about her setbacks and triumphs during her grind in the music game.

Every possible thing that could go wrong in your life, happened to me and I'm still here," she said. "And I'm healthy and I'm happy and I wake up everyday and thank God that I'm here."

"Trust me. I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel," she added. "No one could tell me three years ago that I be standing here giving a "Woman of the Year" acceptance speech."

Remy concluded, "Set your own goals and strive to be everything. Go all the way up."

Afterward, Remy Ma went on her Instagram page to give a message to the haters. You can watch that video below.
