Rappers love to spell their names, this, according to an amusing video that was recently posted online. In the clip, rappers from Eve, Snoop Dogg, MC Lyte, Common, Queen Latifah, Diddy, Fabolous are featured spelling their rap monikers.

Props to Jason Newman of Slacktory for taking the time to cull through YouTube videos of rappers spelling their names. It would have been more interesting if he would have went through the entire alphabet of rappers’ spelling their names from A to Z. But that would require long hours of video editing.

Nevertheless, this two-minute clip dubbed ‘Rapper Spelling Bee’ boasts some familiar names being spelled in rap. Among them are the Sugarhill Gang’s Master Gee (“M-A-S-T-E-R, G with a double-E”), EPMD’s Erick Sermon (“the E-R-I-C-K”), Jay-Z (“H-O-V-A”), Dr. Dre (“the m—–f—ing D-R-E”), Notorious B.I.G. (“B-I-G-P-O-P-PA”) and probably the most well-known rapper-spelling song, Wu-Tang Clan’s 1993 joint ‘Method Man’ (“M-E-T-H-O-D, Man”).

One thing’s for sure, this video is certainly F-U-N-N-Y.
