According to the TheBlast.com it had been reported that a Spotify spokesperson confirmed R. Kelly’s streams spiked by 16 percent after Lifetime aired part 1 of the documentary on Thursday night. I was shocked when I read the news because, I thought it would be totally opposite. The documentary is sick and sad at the same time and the people speaking about the issues are direct workers for R.Kelly, like backup singers, former managers and producers. All over the internet people are saying they are going to #MuteRKelly.

I guess I'm, not the only person feeling and not understanding how R.Kelly's music continues to increase.

Pinkett-Smith released a video on her Twitter account with the caption:

"How is it that R Kelly’s music sales have spiked (substantially) since the release of the docuseries Surviving R Kelly? I need some help in understanding. What am I missing???
