The Treasury Department announced that Harriet Tubman, an African-American who ferried hundreds of slaves to freedom, will be replacing a once slave-holder, Andrew Jackson, on the new $20 note, according to a Treasury official via NYTimes.com.

SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY, JACK LEW, EXPLAINS THE CHOICE TO GO WITH HARRIET TUBMAN:

It all started with nine-year-old Sophia posing the question to President Barack Obama, as to why are there no women on U.S. currency.  Well today, Sophia's question was answered with the first woman (Harriet Tubman)  being placed on the $20 bill!
