There was a event at the Helium nightclub, along with a hockey game at the key bank center and Labatt had its grand opening of its new bar which made for parking to be a absolute nightmare.

According to WKBW, the city has released details on a plan to add more than 500 metered parking spaces downtown. This would include higher rates for on-street parking in alot of key places. The good thing is that these spaces will be around the congested area around KeyBank Center, at Canalside. The proposal will target the Perry and South Park streets, and add more places to park  for $2 per hour between 4 and 10 pm and new spots at Canalside would also be two bucks an hour from 7am to 10pm. I like this plan and it will open up a lot of the downtown parking issues during events during. So what happens next?

The parking plan now goes to Buffalo Common Council to the big man Pridgen, who I know will make the best decision for the community. . Mayor Byron Brown's administration would like to see the plan approved sometime in 2019.
