"For a working parent making $7.25 an hour, life isn't about living. It's about surviving,"

- Barbara Buono, a Vermont state senator

It's time to not only survive but THRIVE!!

In March New York Legislation was passed to increase our statewide min. wage from $7.25 to $9 by 2016.

Here's how the raises are scheduled:

$8.00 on December 31, 2013

$8.75 on December 31, 2014

$9.00 on December 31, 2015

This is great news for the economy because if people have money left over after paying bills, we are more likely to shop and frequent the movies and other entertainment centers.

However, for tipped workers in the service industry, the minimum wage will remain at $7.25 an hour for now.
