New York Mayor Wants To Give Heroin Addicts A Place To Inject Drugs! [Vote]
Huh? Say what? A New York mayor wants to allow heroin users to shoot up without fear of being arrested by police! Do you think it's a good idea?
Ithaca mayor, Svante Myrick, wants to create America's first supervised injection facility, where users can inject themselves with supervision from nurses and without fear of being arrested!! According to KXXV, Myrick says, "I have watched for 20 years this system that just doesn't work. We can't wait anymore for the federal government. We have people shooting up in alleys. In bathroom stalls. And too many of them are dying. I think for a lot of people this is going to sound like a weird concept - 'Aren't you just encouraging them to use drugs? But I think it's more possible now than at any time in our history. The opioid epidemic is affecting more people and we know we can't wait any longer for the federal government to do something."
