The month of March was highlighted by two surprise releases: Kid Cudi's 'Satellite Flight: The Journey to the Mother Moon,' which was announced hours before it hit iTunes, and Pharrell's 'G I R L,' which was announced two weeks before it was available (and, ironically, a day after we published our March edition of 'New Music Releases'). There's always a possibility of a surprise these days. Even if no such release drops, April is still looking like a stacked month.

Future revealed the album cover for his much-delayed sophomore effort earlier this week. 'Honest' will drop after a lengthy recording process that saw its direction entirely change. "The album that you gonna get when it comes out is not the album I was working on when I first started recording,” Future said. “It was another kind of album. It was more… I guess I was just expressing myself about everyday life and where I was at then — just emotionally, personally… I got in a whole other mood when I went in the studio."

'Honest' is aided by an impressive guest list that includes Pusha T, Pharrell, Andre 3000, Drake and Kanye West -- who had a guest spot on 'Sanctified,' which is considered by many to be the best song off Rick Ross' 'Mastermind.' Future's new LP will drop April 22.

Another oft-delayed project is Iggy Azalea's 'The New Classic.' The singer/rapper got the buzz going again by announcing her upcoming tour, making a 'Clueless'-inspired video for 'Fancy' and revealing the 'Miami Vice'-styled album artwork. Azalea's debut arrives April 14.

August Alsina is one of the few R&B artists releasing an album in April. The 'I Luv This S---' singer's debut effort, 'Testimony,' will hit stores on April 14. Kelis also has an anticipated project coming up with 'Food.' The songstress' sixth studio album debuts April 22.

Nas has a reissue coming out, and it's definitely not one to be slept on. 'Illmatic XX' drops on April 15 in commemoration of the landmark album's 20th anniversary. The release, which comes in two CDs and a vinyl, will feature unreleased demos, freestyles and remixes. One of the freestyles is a rare one from 'Stretch & Bobbito Show' that hit the Internet last week.

Fellow Queensbridge alumni Mobb Deep will release their first full-length album since 2006. 'The Infamous Mobb Deep' will feature 17 songs with guests ranging from Nas to Mack Wilds. The release also comes with tracks from the 1994 'The Infamous Sessions.' The duo's new effort will drop on April 1.

More traditionalist rappers round out the April releases. The Lox dropped the 'Trinity EP' unannounced last December, but this time, Styles P's 'Phantom and the Ghost' is expected to be released April 29. Pharoahe Monche drops 'P.T.S.D,' his fourth album, on April 15.
