Hey, it’s me, ADRI.V The Go Getta, and every day, I will be giving you “The 411” on The Only Night Show That Matters with DJ Supreme, kicking off at 8:50 p.m.
What’s the 411, you ask? Well, with the 411, we look to update and educate you on the latest and greatest in hip-hop, popping artists, events, album releases and all things entertainment news!
Rappers Ice-T and Chubb Rock will serve as the new spokesmen for a new non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about healthy lifestyle choices for males, specifically fans of hip-hop music. The Male Awareness Foundation was founded to encourage males of all ages to get screenings for a variety of cancers and other forms of disease. Please make sure you get tested!
And the predictions are in! French Montana’s debut album, Excuse My French, sold exactly 49,775 copies in its first week. The album hit no. 6 on the charts, right in line with early predictions. Big congrats to French Montana!
It’s a bitter birthday week for Outkast member, actor and solo rapper Andre 3000, who is mourning the death of his mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo. She reportedly died yesterday (Tuesday, May 28), one day after Andre celebrated his 38th birthday. Let’s send some prayers up for him!
