Nate Dogg’s Son Arrested for Dealing Prescription Drugs

Nate Dogg’s son was arrested on Wednesday (April 5) for allegedly dealing Xanax. Naijiel Hale, the 21-year-old son of the late singer, was apprehended along with his Montana State football teammate Darren Gardenhire and a student named Christopher Flanagan.

Hale was charged with two counts of felony distribution of dangerous drugs and a misdemeanor count of possession of dangerous drugs. Nate Dogg's son was arrested as part of a drug sting operation, according to TMZ.

Back in February, a confidential informant for the Missouri River Drug Task Force set up a Xanax deal with Hale. Before they were scheduled to meet, Hale instructed the informant to meet with Gardenhire, who executed the deal while investigators watched. In an interview with investigators, Gardenhire said Hale was the one dealing the Xanax.

The charging documents say there was another deal in February that took place at Hale's home. Hale was present at the deal, but did not hand the task force's operative the Xanax. Once again, Hale had another person deliver the drugs.

Authorities served Hale and Gardenhire's residence with a search warrant on Wednesday, according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. Cops only found a small amount of marijuana.

The task force's search of Flanagan's home was more fruitful. Authorities found 355 Xanax pills, approximately 19 grams of mushrooms, LSD, a digital scale and $315 in cash. Flanagan admitted to dealing large quantities of Xanax.

Hale's bond is set at $25,000. His felony charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.
