Researchers at the University of Liege in Belgium have discovered seven planets orbiting Trappist-1, a star that is cooler than the sun and about 40 light years away from the Earth. Three of these Earth-sized planets are in the habitable zone and could have liquid water, according to KXXV!

The closest planet we might be able to live on is Trappist-1e, followed by Trappist-1f, and Trappist-1g. All are thought to be rocky planets. Thomas Zurbechen, associate administrator of the Science Mission Directorate at NASA, said "The discovery gives us a hint that finding a second Earth is not a matter of if, but when."

Call me Captain Janeway, because I'm ready to go, let's roll lol!
