Murder Suicide in Amherst, NY

Amherst Police arrived at a tragic scene yesterday at the Ransom Oaks subdivision on Ransom Drive in Amherst, NY.A 53-year-old man named Richard Dux and a 55-year-old woman named Ellen Zingaro are dead after what appears to be a murder/suicide.

Authorities believe Dux killed his live in girlfriend Ellen, and then shot himself.

Family members of Ellen went to the apartment to check on her Sunday afternoon after they didn't hear from her.

Police say there were no reports of any domestic issues and have never been to the couple's home before the bodies were discovered. This story is still developing
