Well, this is awkward. Young Thug came for Metro Boomin's head on Tuesday (Nov. 10) after the producer criticized rappers who attempt to follow Future's business model of dropping mixtape after mixtape. But now, the "Where Ya At" producer said the tweets weren't even about the Atlanta native.

"You gotta be crazy if you think I subtweeted Thug. That's corny. People are allowed to believe what they want though. True or not," tweeted Metro Boomin.

Young Thug, who has been compared to Future a number of times throughout his career for their similar indecipherable delivery and drug-fueled content, quickly took offense to Metro's initials tweets praising Future and knocking everyone else.

"Moral of the story is, putting out 5 tapes in a year won't make you heat up like Future. That was just his path. It's not for everyone, " Metro tweeted, which sparked Young Thug's own Twitter rant.

In response, Thugger referred to himself as Michael Jackson and said "he's ((TITO))" -- likely referring to Future. The "Stoner" rapper even retweeted a fan's post that read "RIP metro thuggin."

But before Metro clarified that his tweets weren't aimed at Thug, the "Check" rapper had his own theory. "S--- like this makes me realize that these Negas are really sitting in the studio together throwing subliminalson their own teammates," he wrote.

But Metro is moving on from the drama, especially since he scored production credit on Future's "Last Breath," which will appear on the soundtrack for forthcoming boxing movie, Creed.

Check out the tweets that will hopefully end the beef between the artists below.
